This is the schedule for Tuesday, March 9th Cohort!

We will learn what these are and how poets use them to create a theme.
After you read Caged Bird you will pair off in groups of 2 or 3 and identify in the poem the negative and positive connotative words. Evidence, evidence, evidence!
We will then listen to Maya Angelou read her poem and break down what is different between our reading and hers.
And finally, you will watch the music video for Mac Miller’s song, Complicated. It is an odd one, but carries Freeverse features you will recognize and an extended metaphor. Here you will write a 200-word descriptive paragraph about the song and/or the music video. This is practice for the 200-word descriptive paragraph you will have to hand in with your poem.
Some of you have still not handed in your annotated song and there will be an option to retake the Quiz on Wednesday during flexblock.
