Post-reading questions:

  1. Why do you think Peggy was such a great sniper?
  2. How was Peggy treated after the war?

Part 2: Indigenous Contributions to Canadian History

Get into groups of 1-4

Essential Question: Why do you think a lot of Canadians are unaware of Indigenous contributions?

You and your group will research some aspect of Indigenous contribution or invention in Canadian life. Here are potential areas of research:

  • medicine, sport, fashion, health and wellness, justice, law, military, gaming, etc.

You will create a 3-5 minute presentation to share with the class (title slide, background/history, what is the invention/contribution, about the person, significance)
