*You will be completing a Self-Assessment.  Please take the time to read through the core competencies before you do your assessment.  This assessment is on the reading of your novel, the lit circles and ultimately your Independent Novel Inquiry Project.  Last time we did a self-assessment, I found you could have written much more…

*Tags:  In addition to the Tag you must use for the specific competency you are using, I also want you to add as a second tag.  Follow in the instructions on the Self Assessment Sheet on how to Tag for the accurate competency.  You must also include your ‘artifact’ which is your project.

  1.  Novel: Research the primary and secondary resources…at this point you should be looking into your research and going into further depth.  You should be starting to put your presentation together.
  2. Group Inquiry:  You should connect with your group  to see how you can research into further depth with your topic.
  3. We will be doing our last Lit. Circle Discussion Friday.  You should prepare your role for this discussion…

-Novel share:  You will be getting together in groups.  Each group must contain a representative from each of the novels we are studying in our Literature circles

a)  Each person will share what their novel is about

b)  Each person will share what they have learned about the novel (lessons on life, personal/social/cultural connections) and any historical information that they learned as a backdrop to their novel.

c) Answer any questions that other members of your group may have…

-You will have time to prepare your Literature Circle Role for Friday.  Please ensure your role sheet is ready to go…this role sheet will be posted onto your blog.  In addition, you will be doing a Lit. Circle Reflection (after your discussion on Friday).

Your Post on Friday will include:
