For HCE…I would like to see your post which includes the picture you chose to write on as well as the paragraph write up.  The Tag should be NelsonHCE  I will give you time to ensure that it is complete and ready to go before checking off that it is complete in a homework check.  I also want you to upload this on to Teams.

You will be matched up with another classmate to peer edit your essay which should now be complete (polished draft form). Your partner will:

a) Fill in the document below to give you for feedback

b)  Correct any grammar/mechanics/spelling mistakes they may see as they read through your essay.

*Spoken Words:  You have time to work on your spoken word -it should be written at this point –now you are polishing and practicing your spoken word:)

*Spoken Words:  Today, you will take your brainstorm topic and write the DRAFT of your Spoken Word.

*Essays:  If time, we will work on improving our rough drafts of our essays.  Over the long weekend, you are to work on your essay to ensure it is looking as polished as possible.  On Tuesday, we will do some peer editing….

Novel Essays: Homework check –you were to complete the below for homework

  1. Essay:  Rough Draft
  2. Rant and This I believe Document.(link below)

Essays:  We will work on making sure we integrate quotes correctly.  We also discussed this when we did our paragraphs on “On The Sidewalk Bleeding”.  Each body paragraph should have 2 quotes.  These are the quotes that you would have completed in the “Say Mean Matter” document.

*In addition to looking at incorporating quotes, you should also see if you can use any transitional expressions that will help the flow and cohesion of your writing.

  1. Add on two more quotes to our “Say Mean Matter” Document.  These will be the two quotes that you use in your body #3.
  2. Complete the Outline –Body #3 and conclusion.

*Essay Drafts:  Today, you will take your outline and start to write your draft.  This means you will take your outline and move all the prompts that were given to you and only your own words will be left.
