Good Afternoon!

*Best Buddies:  Friday November 17th…who is organizing this weeks activities?

*Head’s Up:  Little Buddies on Tuesday November 21st.  Please wear appropriate clothing for the walk to Central.  Reminder…NO PHONES!

*Unified Soccer:

a)  Poster for schools

b)  Poster for individual students

c)  please remember your roles (on white board) —who is going to be in charge of the lights?

d)  any way we can do the powerpoint/video that the Volleyball girls had for Red Surge?  It would look so cool!

*Theme Lunch Activities:  Let’s get some of your videos and announcements up to advertise.  Is there anything else you need to organize to ensure these events run smoothly?

a)  A tic toc/or video advertising your event –ready to go for Instagram

b) a canva for instagram to advertise your event

c) an announcement written up for morning announcements

*Spirit Assembly Powerpoint: Please ensure anything you need for the powerpoint gets to Eric today!!  REHEARSAL IS ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 17TH AT LUNCH.  YOU NEED TO ENSURE ALL MATERIALS FOR YOUR ACTIVITY ARE READY TO GO –WITH PERMISSION FROM P.E. DEPARTMENT IF NECESSARY.

Spirit Week:  we must come up with themes for each day and the following needs to be made

a)  posters:  Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday (grade colours)

b) Canva made with all of the daily themes

c) an announcement written for morning announcements.

d)  Bubble soccer –promotion needs to start this week –ask for ‘video’s on why they should be chosen’ showcasing school spirit –so announcements/ promo needs to go out by Tuesday/Wednesday.  Students will need to submit videos by Friday November –-should we start recruiting??

*Spoken Word:  Brainstorming activitiy

Warm up spoken word free write activity:  Practice writing with imagery that includes all five senses.  Students describe an abstract or intangible entity using all senses:  what do they look, sound, smell, taste and feel like?

Examples:  Choose 2 of the following examples and write for five minutes each using imagery/sensory language.

a. homesickness

b. grief

c. love

d. joy

e. emptiness

f.  time

g. envy
