This week I learned about dividing square roots, this concept was quite difficult at first and it took some time to understand the idea. We learned a topic called “Rationalizing the denominator,” which is removing the root from the denominator into the numerator. This change makes the equation/expression easier requiring less work, as a root in the denominator is not simplest form and is irrational.

What I find easier and helpful is when doing  equations of this kind, simplify each radical before multiplying or dividing. For example \sqrt{50} gets converted to 5\sqrt{2}  allowing multiplying to become much simpler.
