Inquiry final project

My initial idea was to make a hoodie but I ended up making a teddy bear for my sister I was planning on just machine sewing but the fabric started ripping so I had to hand sew all the rips and holes. I also made a jumpsuit for the bear which I wasn’t planning on making. The jumpsuit was easy to sew compared to the bear. I learned that some fabrics are very challenging to sew and I gained a better understanding of the sewing machine which also gave me more patience.

Collaborative Studio Maintenance Project

For the maintenance project, my group decided to organize the thread bins in the supply cupboard because when the threads are tangled and in the wrong bin it is harder for people to find the supplies and benefit from all the options available to them. the threads are used to sew fabric together by either hand sewing or putting them in the sewing machine. My group tackled this task by taking the bins out and each person helped move the spools to the right bins and detangle them. We also got rid of any garbage and empty spools.

Week 18 June 22

This week I finished the overalls for my teddy bear. My biggest success for this week was helping my fellow classmates with their projects. I was able to complete all my projects on time so I decided to help my peers with any challenges they might have.
