Core competency reflection-how have you adjusted to this new learning environment.

I have adjusted to this new learning environment quite well during covid 19, it was a little rocky at first. The core competency I use is personal Awareness and responsibility because I had to set alarms for myself so I don’t miss classes and if I miss classes I always ask the teacher what a missed and check her edublog. I also have to make sure I’m up to date with all my assignments by writing a check list and marking them off once I have done that assignment. Another core competency I have to use it communication because when your teachers are teaching you online sometimes it’s hard to understand what their teaching so I have to always ask question.

Minor game

Dodgeball capture the flags

Equipment

You need a flat space like a front yard, basement or field. For the equipment you need 10 bean bags, four hula hoops, ten dodge ball, or you can use 10 shirts instead of the bean bags, four towels as an alternative for the hula hoops and ten balled up socks as the dodge balls. Now that you have the equipment lay it out like so.

Map of the game lay out

How to play

You make two teams, the teams can be as small as one player on each team to an infinite amount of people you just have to used more or less equipment. Now that you have your teams go to or side of the field and when the game start your goal is to take the other teams bean bag and put them with your bean bags. Well trying not to get hit by dodge balls because if you do you go to jail. The team with all the bean bags win.

Rules

You can only throw dodge balls at the opposite team when they are on your side of the field

You can only take one bean bag at a time

Dodge ball may only be throw shoulder down if you hit someone above there shoulder you will be put in jail.

When you go to get your team mate out of jail you cannot have a bean bag with you and you can walk back to your team mate without getting dodge balls thrown at you

And once you get a bean bag you have three second before anybody can throw dodge balls at you.

No puppy guarding your team bean bags

If your jail is full you have to wait ten second then your team can have a jail break

You cannot throw dodge balls at people when there on their side

Talking Circle Reflection

The talking circle showed me that most people feel highly about their family and sounded proud to talk about them in front of the class. I could tell because they sat up strait and talked clearly. Also I think the circle helped people learned more things about each other and got us more comfortable talking in front of each other as a class. Another thing is the talking connects to AWOKAB because they use communication to teaching and learn just like are class did by learning more about people’s families and up bringing.

I used communication during the circle because I answer the questions by saying my name, who I’m honouring and I detail about the person I was taking about.

Community Connections

This is the store ware I call Annisa and interviewed her

Why I chose to interview that individual?

I decided to interview Annisa Fieldin the manager at Pet-land because I would like to work there for a part time job in high school and I wanted to see what it is like working there and to see if working at a pet store is right for me.

The question I asked Annisa and her responses

Why are you passionate about your job?

Annisa Is passionate about her job because she loves to work with animal. Educate people on animals and find the right pets for them.

What obstacles have you faced to get you where you are today?

The obstacle she had to face is that sometime when you apply to get a job you want you don’t always get it because some people get the job instead of you so you just have to keep apply at other places you would like to work at.

Here are my favourite bird at pet land because there colour are so cool.

Here is a picture of some birds they have at pet land

What advice would you pass on to someone interested in what you are doing?

The advice Annisa would pass on is that it takes a lot of are work to be the manager at a pet store, but just research about the animals you are taking care of to get a better understanding so you can know the right stuff to feed them and what kind of environment the animal needs to live in.

What are your favourite animals to work with and why?

Her favourite animals to work with are snakes because she used to be scarred of them but she realized that their really friendly animals. She also likes ferrets because their fun to hang out with are ferrets are cute.

What is the most challenging part about your job?

The most challenging part about her job is to make sure every one gets the right animal for them and knows everything about the animal they are getting. Also to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Would you be open to further contact from riverside students and if so, how can someone contact you?

Yes, Annisa would be open to get further contacts from riverside student and they can contact her the same way I did by calling pet land and asking to speak to the manager.

Include their roles and responsibilities

Some of Annisa roles and responsibilities are to take care of the animals and teach people thing about the animal they have your want to buy. Also help customers find thing in the store like the dog food brand they’re looking for and more.

What I learned from interview and how does it connect to my passion/interests

I learned from interviewing the manager at Pet-land that is takes a lot off work to work with animals but it’s fun to care for them and help people find what animal is right for them. Also working at pet-land connects to my passion because I love to hang out with animals and learning new things about different types of animals and I think it would be fun to teach people new things about them, because I love explaining to people about how I care for my bearded dragon Earl, for example like what he eat or how to clean his cage and how to bath him.

This is a baby bearded dragon and I took a picture of it because I have a bearded dragon, so I put it in here and bearded dragon are so cute when there little

partner paragraph B

Get to know Aderian

Want to get to know a smart and interesting person? Then read more about Aderian in this paragraph. Aderian is a smart individual who I met in my grade 9 English class. He has a lot of wonders about the world, which shows that he’s an unique person who thinks outside the box. He also has a lot of opinions and works really hard. He also likes to learn about new things. I interviewed him and he said if he could time travel to the past or the future he would travel to the past, to see the development of the big bang because he’s curious on how the universe was created. Secondly if Aderian could bring back anybody from the dead he would bring back his grandma, because she was a caring person would taught Aderian a lot of useful stuff for live. Thirdly I asked Aderian, if there was an apocalypse what three items would you bring and he said water a filtered mask and a machete. His answers shows that he’s a smart person, because he brought things that would help him survive instead of comfort items like a blanket or his phone. Aderian has a lot of wonders about the world, but the one he wanted to know the most for life is, are we the only intelligent life out there. After interviewing and chatting with Aderian I got to know him a little better and over all he’s an interesting person to be around and you can learn a lot from him, which means it’s never boring when your hanging out with him.

Aderian used communication when I was interviewing him, because when I was asking him question he would answer them and explain why he  made that choice.
