Poem
“How I Said Goodbye” ~ R.S
My voice caught in my throat,
My heart started to ache,
My legs started to shake,
My head started to hurt,
My breath caught,
My vision blurred,
My knees hit the floor,
My voice cracked as I called for you,
My head hurt,
My tears were uncontrollable
My shirt soaked with tears,
My mind swirled,
but;
I took a deep breath,
I picked myself up,
I wiped my tears away,
I brushed off my pants,
I calmed my shaking hands,
I brushed out my hair,
I changed my tear-soaked shirt,
I brushed away an escaped tear,
I told myself I could do this,
I told myself I would live on,
I promised myself I would always love you,
I promised that I would always miss you;
It was too soon to say goodbye.
