From reading the first few chapters of Three Day Road, I conclude that Joseph Boyden should be able to continue writing stories about the indigenous people in Canada. Joseph understands and obviously knows what he’s talking about. Joseph also honours indigenous people and lets their voice be heard by telling accurate stories of their past in a respectful manner. I do not think he should be able to claim that he has an indigenous background though, since that is lying. It’s understandable that it is a huge part of who he is today, but he shouldn’t lie about being indigenous
