This is my math integers questions & answers using blue (positive) and red (negative) tiles.
1.)
2.)
3.)
4.)
5.)
6.)
7.)
1 and 5 are the same because they are the same question, but 5 has 2 negative symbols that cancel each other out, which makes it an addition question to produce the same answer as 1
3 and 7 are the same because they are the same questions again, but the negative symbols cancel each other out to produce the same question & answer as 7
I learned how to do integers using tiles during this activity.
I think students need to know about adding / subtracting integers are that if you are subtracting a negative, it cancels each other and becomes a addition question.
