Foods Junk foods assignment
My favourite junk food snack is a kit Kat bar. I like the chocolaty flavor on the outside and the crispy wafer it the inside. I also like the ways you can eat a kit Kat bar. You can either break it up and eat the whole thing at once. Some additives in a kit Kat bar are polyglycerol polyrincoleate (PGPR) and soy lecithin. PGPR and an emulsifier that reduces the need for the amount of coca butter and slows down the frictions of particles in the chocolate. Soy Lecithin is also a emulsifier but some believe it carries potential health dangers. The ingredients in a kit Kat bar are Milk chocolate (sugar, modified milk ingredients, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, whey powder, lactose, soy lecithin, polyglycerol polyricnoleate, natural flavor), wheat flour, sugar, modified palm oil, cocoa, sodium bicarbonate, soya lecithin, yeast, Natural Flavor). when I’m at a store I’ll will usually get on bar or if I’m really craving so e chocolate I will get the package with two kit Kat bars. Their are 510 calories in one serving (one whole bar) of a kit Kat bar. This foods isn’t the healthiest because it has a lot of calories in just one serving and it also has 26g of fat in it as well.

Chili chimps
Day 1:
We looked at different types of chili recipes. We found a chili recipe with pineapple as a special ingredient to the chili. After we copied the recipe and started to fill out the chili cook-off form. Naomi came up with our group name.
Day 2:
On day 2 we dem. the cheese braid and started to plan who was bring food from home and we finished writing our grocery list and handed it in.
Day 3:
On day 3 we started to cook our chili. Naomi and I chopped up the peppers and the onion. Alyah was cook the ground beef and Claire was opening up the can with the pineapples, diced tomatoes etc. After every was chopped up, the canned ingredients and the powder/species were measured we added all of it and began to cook everything up then we cleaned up and put the chili in the fridge
Day 4:
On day 4 we made the cheese braid, let the chili simmer to warm it up and talked about how we would present it. After the cheese braid was done baking we put the chili in small bowls, added some sour cream on top, put a little bit of parsley on the sour cream and cut the cheese braid into triangles and served. After we presented ours we ate the rest then cleaned up the left.
