Let’s wrap up this semester with a core competency reflection
Go to your blog–Riverside Way–Core Competency Self-Assessment
You may choose the essay or look at your growth throughout the semester. Can you link any of your growth to a greater understanding on Indigenous Ways of Being? What about reconciliation?

Have an amazing Semester 2! I hope to see your faces again next year! 🙂
You should be weaving a connection the an AWOKB somewhere in your essay, likely in the conclusion and even better, a connection to the the Lens of Reconciliation at some point.
Which one of them speaks to you about the stories we have read so far? Can you come up with a question about humanity relating to these? You can go back in your lit circle package and review your essential questions.
What are some recurring ideas and themes in the stories we have read?
blind spots/turning a blind eye
blindly following traditions
how technology can interfere with our ability to communicate as humans
humans ability for violence
the pain of one, for the betterment of all
Hopefully you are able to complete your outline by the end of class tomorrow then begin your rough draft. I will set aside some time Wednesday to peer edit and work on the good copy.
Before I check your thesis and review lit circle book groups, let’s watch this spoken word, May is Asian Heritage Month, and the theme is “Recognition, Resilience, and Resolve”. This was written by Canadian Poet, Christopher Tse and this type of project could potentially be an idea for your Capstone next year. #FaceRace
