Story Title: Mmm, Cookies!

Initiating Incident

When he walked down into the basement and saw a big pile of play clay in the corner

 

Rising Action

1.

He made a play clay cookie for his mother. He said this cookie was made by his father. After, his mother took a big bite and ran to the bathroom.

 

  1. He made another play clay cookie for his father. Also, he said this cookie was made by his mother. His father took a big bite and ran to the bathroom.

 

  1. Christopher was late for school. His parents called up his teacher and said what happened in the morning. Teacher knew just what to do.

 

Climax

Classmates and the teacher made a play clay cookie for him. When Christopher came into the class, he saw the lovely cookie, and took a big bite.  Also, he ran to the bathroom

 

Falling Action

When he came back to the class, teacher said “And now would everyone like to make some real cookies?” The classmates and Christopher made a real cookie.

 

Conclusion

When he was done with his cookie, he took it home to give to his mother and father

 

Type of Ending

Resolved ending because he learned a lesson from teacher about not tricking people..

 

Irony

1.

Christopher made play clay cookies and gave them to his parents.

This is wrong behaviour. However, when his parents called up his teacher, the teacher also made a play clay cookie for him. This is an example of irony. The teacher knows making play clay cookies for someone is wrong and the readers do not expect her to do the same thing as Christopher. In this case, the same action is justified because it was to teach Christopher a lesson.

Foreshadowing

When Christopher parents called up to his teacher, we can know something he will get punishment to lesson about his attitude or manner. 

 

Symbol

Real cookie is represent about Christopher learned lesson from his fault.

When he ate the fake cookie, he felt guilty about behavior. Therefore, he accepted his wrong and made real cookie to his parents.

Theme

One major theme of this book is learning about manners. This book could be used as a lesson on teaching students proper manners. A major point is how it’s not polite to trick people, especially parents or other people who have authority, like teachers.

Covered it with yellow icing

Glick, Glick, Glick, Glick, Glick

And put some raisins on top

PLUNK, PLUNK, PLUNK, PLUNK, PLUNK.

He made a play clay cookie for his mother.

He said this cookie made by his father.

After, his mother took a big bite and ran to the bathroom

His mother washed out her mouth for a long time

SPLAT SPLICHT

BWAHHH

 

When he came back to the class

Teacher said make a real cookie

 

When he was done with his cookie,

He took it home to give to his mother and father
