artist statement :

the thing that inspired me to create this photo is that speed skating is my favorite sport of all time so I felt that this was appropriate to make something about the sport and the Olympics since the games is this year.  The skater in the picture is Chales Hamelin and I wanted to do him because he is one of the best Canadian speed skaters ever and this will be his last year of skating before retirement.

the techniques I used was the cut tool which is used to crop the skater into the image and used smoothing tools to smooth the edges.

this post means a lot to me since it represents my passion and my possible future goal as an athlete.
