FOUNDATION COURSE: FOUNDATIONS IN TRADES 11

Students learn trades and technology skills and earn credit towards secondary school graduation. This hands-on course allows students to explore trades or technology careers. Trades covered include Drywalling, Roofing and Tiling and may also include one or more of Carpentry, Drafting, Painting, and Joinery. This course is the next phase of the introductory Foundation in Trades 11 Program. This course provides students essential skills that they can use in the future and allows them to move onto apprenticeship training programs offered in conjunction with the Ministry of Education and the Industry Training Authority (ITA). The ITA awards provincial credentials (Certificates of Qualification and Red Seal Designation).
