Communication
I chose to reflect on my PowerPoint project. In CS10 our goal was to create a PowerPoint that contains a video of ourself and narration on each slide. We used the information from the excel document we made to use for the PowerPoint. We demonstrated Communication when we recorded the narration and added it to our PowerPoint. I enjoyed learning how to do this because now I am able to communicate through PowerPoint and can use it on different projects.
Creative and Critical
I chose to reflect on my 3D printing project. Our goal was to model something we wanted to print. I decided to use tinkercad because they had lots of tutorials on how to design your model and it was my first-time 3D printing. We learned how to edit shapes to make it how we wanted. I used creative thinking when brainstorming ideas on what to make. I came up with an NBA Champion trophy because I thought it would look cool. I brainstormed shapes I needed to use to make it. I then used critical thinking to design and edit the shapes. When I was done there was a problem with printing. The basketball on the top of the trophy wouldn’t be able to be printed without supports. We didn’t want to use supports so we removed to basketball and printed it separately so we could glue it on after. I enjoyed creating this project because we got to design anything that we wanted. I think it developed my critical thinking because I had to come up with a way to fix a problem.
