Salad rolls in food’s class

  1. Did you enjoy this lab? Why or why not? yes, because it was a healthy food choice, and a fun lab to make. it tasted good while still being a good food choice, i enjoyed this lab because we made something i dont usually eat.
  2. What reasonable (i.e. no candy!) thing would you do to alter this recipe to keep it healthy or make it healthier? What would this add to the recipe (i.e. vitamins, minerals, fats)? i would change the sauce, it has peanut butter, thai sauce, and hoysan sauce, they are all high in sugar, which defeats the purpose of the healthy roll. Instead, i would add squeezed lemons, to give it a  good taste that is still healthy.
  3. Often, rolls like these are served deep fried. Most people understand that deep frying food is not healthy for us. What exactly does deep frying do to our food? Why does it become unhealthy? What, if any, nutrients are added that are not great for us? fried food may not be the healthiest choice because it can create plaque on you’re heart, which will make it very hard for you’re heart to pump blood to you’re body. Fried foods clog arteries and veins, and can lead to strokes, and heart attaks. http://www.naturalnews.com/034483_fried_foods_health_damage.html#ixzz4PTbS4RxH
