CDN Studies – November 10, 2015

Shape of the day:

1. Review of behaviour for remembrance day assembly.
2. Assignment for the day:
   1. Research a Canadian War Veteran.  Provide a short paragraph biography about the veteran.  Focus on who they are, what war they were involved in, what happened to them in the war, any other important facts about the person.
   2. Do one of the following:
      1. Write a letter to the soldier as if you were a member of his or her family and write a response from the soldier back to his or her family.
      2. Write a short poem about the solider, detailing his or her life and involvement in military.
   3. We will present our writing to our peers in the class.
