For #1, just focus on the causes. Do the causes of the American Revolution match the causes of the Rebellion of 1837?
Would equal representation make the French happy? Is that being responsible to them?
Remember that Durham just wrote a report and he was told to do this by Britain. Durham didn’t actually do anything, just suggested things. Durham lost his position less than a year into it.
