Here is my analysis on my song of choice

Imagery 

Metaphor and a  rhyme.. The writer chose theses words to get the meaning across. The meaning of this poems to say how you should  make the best of everything. Its your life!

Tone/ Attitude 

“Oh its a great big world you’ll see.” The writer wants you to realize how great things can be. This tone makes you feel like your wrong and he’s right about how great life can be. This tone helps to get the point across. Theses lyrics have emotion and they are thoughtful. “You’d be a fool to take a seat.” In this lyric the song writer is trying to get the point across that you shouldn’t  have any regrets so live life to the fullest.

Style 

This type of poem is a ballad because it is set to music and it tells a story. There is multiple lines of poetry per paragraph. The rhyme scheme for the first paragraph is A A A the second paragraph is AA BBAABB every line has a rhyme with the second line. The song contains line groupings. In the song there is not a lot of punctuation. The writer chose this because its a song and instead of punctuation they have pauses in the song.

Interpretation

The poet is trying to say don’t wait till its too late and to live in the moment. The poem is for anyone who is having struggles in their lives.The narrator is the singer( the person who is telling the message.) This song means to me is to always be grateful for what you have and don’t wait until last minute to start being grateful.

Paragraph 

“Dont wait till its too late” – Hedly. Always appreciate and enjoy life because you only have one to live.

The song One life by Hedly  is a metaphor. The song is comparing  a  fool for not loving life.” You’d be a fool to take a seat” and “ you got one life” are comparing that you’d be crazy to not love life. The song Hedly contains lots of rhymes “five minutes too late cant be messin with fate.” This line is a  A A rhyme scheme. “If you stop and think you might start to sink” is also a A A rhyme scheme. The meaning of this poem is telling you to make the best of everything because its your life.

“Oh its a great big world you’ll see” this tone is making you feel like your wrong and the narrator is right. This tone helps to get the point of the song across. All of the lyrics in the poem has emotion “ its a great big world you’ll see” has a lot of emotion because it sounds like the person who is saying this has some experience with a difficult life but he has now realized how great it can be and he wants to share his knowledge.
