Just like in basketball there are certain fundamental skills that are needed in education. Practicing these fundamentals is not always fun or flashy but they are necessary. Just like being able to dribble with both hands while keeping your head up, it is important that you understand the basics of Qualitative and Quantitative research.  

Abstract:
It is essential for researchers to understand the two major types of research: qualitative and quantitative. The following will be an analysis, a critique and a comparison between the quantitative research paper and a qualitative paper. Both articles use very different methodologies and have helped to inform my own research choices which I will also reflect on.
