Today we made DNA structures out of liquorish and marshmallows. I created a model that used the sequence TAC GTA TGA AAC. Each of the letters stands for a chemical base of  either Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine or Guanine. The sequence is created out of the molecule components, each acting as coded instructions to create a living organism. We have 23 chromosomes and the DNA we have is passed down from our parents. DNA stands for (deoxyribonucleic acid) and it is shaped like a double helix which looks like a twisted ladder. The sides of the ladder are made out of sugar and phosphate but in my model I created I only used sugar.
