Rube Goldberg Project

Our project is named Einstein Machine. There are 3 steps and energy transformation as shown down:

step A: The car falls down the slope and hits the domino to let the dominos fall down.(potential energy–> kinetic energy  kinetic energy–>thermal energy)

Step B: The last domino falls down and hits the balloon. The balloon bounces off causes the tracts above have a slope. The slope causes the ball on it falls down through the railway.(potential energy–>kinetic energy potential–> thermal energy)

Step C: The ball falls down and hits the dominos to make them fall down.The last one with beats on it falls down and hit a bell. The bell rings.( kinetic energy–>sound potential energy–>kinetic energy)

The chemical reactions have 4 kinds: synthesis reactions、decomposition reactions、single replacement reactions、double replacement reactions.  And there’re the pictures of examples and general equations.

Synthesis reactions: two or more reactants combine to produce a single product

decomposition reactions: a single product breaks down to produce two or more products

single replacement reactions: a reactive element( mental or non-mental ) and a compound react to produce another element and compound

double replacement reactions: two ionic compounds reactive to produce two compounds (one of the products often forms a precipitate).
