We will begin with silent reading.

We look at themes and in your groups you will discuss what themes are emerging in your novel. Some groups will be doing their first discussions while others will be going over themes first with their groups.

Today we will begin right away.  You will have your first discussion.  Be sure to record your discussion.  Before you begin look at your jobs.   Remember to say your role and name before your begin.  This discussion may take longer as you are just beginning the process.  Remember to keep collecting information for your characterization sheets.  If there is time you will do you reflection.  Remember today you will be looking at capstones.  Pay attention during Stream before you know it you will be doing it soon.

Today you will start reading your novel.  Makes sure you have the background info ready to discuss with your group.

Characterization-Chart- do this from the beginning of your book for the protagonist and antagonist.
