Apron Project

2 stars- Being able to design and draw my own technical flat with all the mesurements was my favorite. I also loved being able to be creative with how I designed my apron.

1 wish. I wish I could have found n brought my own cool fabric but next time I can.

Song Analysis

Dunno-Mac Miller

She do whatever she like
And that just don’t seem right
Yeah, make people so mad
Yeah, and want her so bad, hm
Well, we was fu**in’, almost missed my flight
I wasn’t even trippin’, I said it’s all right
Yeah, goddamn, we was hit last night
Wouldn’t you rather get along?
Wouldn’t you rather get along?
You was coughin’ when you hit my weed
But I’ve never seen you feel that free
So cute, you wanna be like me
Wouldn’t you rather get along?
Wouldn’t you rather get along?
Until, until, there is no longer
Let’s get lost inside the clouds
And you, you don’t gotta work harder
I can calm you down
Yeah, well I was busy when you hit my phone
But you miss me, tell me come back home
Yeah, and you don’t really like to sleep alone
But I’m takin’ too long
I’m always takin’ too long
Baby we don’t need a trip, we could be right here
When the stuff get weird, we could switch up gears
I wanna see them lips, kiss ’em ear to ear
I wanna hear your song
Ooh, I wanna feel just how you feel
Touch it one more time so I know you’re real
We could spin that wheel, wouldn’t you rather get along?
Until, until, there is no longer
Let’s get lost inside the clouds
And you, you don’t gotta work harder
I can calm you down
I think we just might be alright
Thank god
I think we’re gonna be alright, alright, okay
Hold me close, don’t hold your breath
That’s really your favorite
I know

Some people shouldn’t be Police
Identities
W.D.Valgrardson

Shoot because your scared? Or wait for a real reason to kill someone. An ordinary individual wakes up in the morning to a beautiful sunny day and decides to go for a calming drive. As he wanders out, passing trees and beautiful scenery, he comes to find that he is lost. He comes about to a gas station with a payphone that he decides he can use to call.
Three people slouching on the gas station curb catch the man’s attention. All wearing leather, he feared that they may pull a move on him and attempt to rob him. Since the man is uneasy about the three guys and girl on the curb, he fails to notice the police officer parked on the curb. The police officer is also feeling nervous because of the neighborhood he was patrolling. The officer has the responsibility to defend himself when he feels his life is in danger. The officer was also informed about the certain people put out to be thieves and the descriptions fit the man trying to get to the payphone. As the officer approaches the man, he orders him to stand still. The man turns around, surprised and acquires a safe feeling. As the man reaches for his pocket where he earlier put his wallet and identity causing the police officer to be scared, after words shooting the man before he was even able to grab his identity.

The officer was not justified when he pulled out his weapon and shot the man and the obvious stereotyping in this story proves so. A person with a beard and blue could be any regular resident in any town of city.
Firstly, the police office has implied a stereotype for criminals in the neighborhood. An unshaved man with blue jeans is a potential criminal in this town. Unfortunately, the man who had no illegal desire was the one who was targeted. Although this officer had his suspicions, there was no clear threat or real reason to shoot. The officer simply could have grabbed the wallet himself because they do have the rights too. Instead, the police officer decided to act quick with a lack of evidence and kill an innocent resident, the poor man’s family will need to learn to live without him.
The lack of investigation is a clear red flag because all responsible people of the law wait for a real reason to take someone’s life. Therefore, this officer was not justified to shoot and kill this man.

Eveything I know about Electricity

Voltage or Potential Energy?

The standard unit for voltage is a volt. Voltage can be measured by a voltmeter. Voltage is what makes the electrons move. The voltage between two points is equal to the work done per unit of charge.

Conductors

In a conductor electric current can flow freely. Metals such as copper typify conductors. Most metals are good electric conductors, most non-metals are not. Metals are classified as conductors because their outer electrons aren’t tightly bound.

Insulators

Most non-metals aren’t good insulators. Most solid materials are classified as insulators because they offer a very large resistance to the electric current.

What is a battery?

A battery is a source of potential  energy. A battery is a device that stores the energy in electric charges in opposite ends of the terminal. A battery has three parts, an anode witch holds the negative charges, A cathode witch holds the positive charges and the electrolyte. The chemical reactions in the battery cause a build up of electrons at the anode. The electrochemical cells convert chemical energy into electric energy. Connecting electrochemical cells together creates a battery. The battery provides energy by pushing negative charges through the conductor.

What is Resistance?

Electrical resistance is the property of a substance that slows down the movement of electrons and converts chemical energy into other forms of energy.

What is a Resistor?

A resistor is a competent in a circuit that has a specific resistance. These are used to control current or voltage to suit the needs of other electric devices In the circuit.

Ohm’s Law

Ohm’s law is a mathematical equation that shows how voltage, current and resistance are related.

Current- The movement of the electrons through the conductor.

Voltage- Is what makes the electrons move.

Resistance- Works against and attempts to slow down the movement

Good Conductors have low resistance which means that electrons flow threw them easily.

Poor Conductors have high resistance which means electrons are slowed down.

Voltage=current x resistance

Resistance=voltage / current

Current=voltage / resistance

Volts (V), Amps (I), Ohms (R)

What you need for charges to move through a circuit.

1-There must be a capable source of energy.

2-There must be a conductor so charges have the ability to move.

3-You must have a reliable device (load) ex, speaker ,heater, motor.

4-Lastly a switch, something that can control the movement of the charges.

An electric current circuit can be measured in units called amperes (A)

These currents are produced when coulombs of charged particles move past a certain point.

Electric current can be measured with a ammeter

Mutation Story

Part 1-Mutation Story

The Tay-Sachs disease is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder. It can be very deadly. When both parents are carriers, there is a 25% chance of giving birth to a affected child. The child would be given a mutated copy of his or her gene from each parent.

What causes the mutation is a defective gene on chromosome 15 (HEX -A). This defective gene causes the body to not make a protein called hexosaminidase A. the build up of ganglioside in the nerve cells effects many bodily functions such as vision, hearing, speech, movement and mental functions Without this protein, chemicals called gangliosides will build up in nerve cells in the brain. Later destroys the brain and it’s cells.

The symptoms of this disease vary between infant, juvenile and adult. The disease in infants usually develop within 6 months of birth. As neurons become distended with gangliosides a relentless deterioration of mental and physical abilities begin. The affected child may become blind, deaf and unable to swallow. The disease in teens is a rare form. They develop cognitive and moterskill deterioration, dysarthria, dysphagia, ataxia and spasticity. If adults end up getting diagnosed with the Tay-sachs disease it usually hits during the 30’s and 40’s. Usually in adults the disease is not fatal. It’s characterized by unsteadiness of gait and progressive neurological deterioration.

Part 2-Making of the Mutation story

Some questions I researched were almost all the same. What causes the Tay-sachs disease, What are some deadly symptoms, What parts of our body does it effect the most. I used Google to research this disease. I used websites such as Wikipedia, Genome.gov, Kids health and health line. How I started this research was looking up the disease, writing down questions, and searching the internet for as many answers and facts as I could get. How I verified my information was easy. I went on multiple sites asking the same question and getting the same answer. Just to make sure that the information I was getting was correct. The process of completing this project was quite fun to be honest. Knowing that you are getting lots of information on your project means you can get a good mark. And the feeling that you could be getting a good mark is fantastic.

Science App Review

(Science Experiments With Water)

Question A-

-How does this app help users build skills or learn content?

-It gives a variety of diffrent experiments to do. Some involve a flower and four glasses of water and some involve a bottle of water and wires. I definitly learned some new facts by downloading this app. This app shows each step slowley to make sure you understand witch is also good.

Question B-

-How Intuitive is the app? Is it self explanitory or does it take time to figure out.

-This app is very straight forward. It does not take long at all to figure it out, As it gives full directions and tips on what and how to do the experiments so it is very easy to complete a level on this app.

Question C-

-What innovative elements does the app utilize?

-This app is called Science experiments with water so as you may know its a water based app. This app gives a wide selection of water based projects for you to do and learn from. Some projects have a couple flowers or wires but thst just makes the projects work.screenshot_2016-11-04-11-12-46

DIGITAL FOOTPRINT

Question A

-How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities? Give at least two examples

-Since I have 0 digital footprint traces, job interviews and such may be difficult because I have nothing they can see. They could possibly think I have something to hide witch will not be good. Also if something gets posted that inappropriate or illegal that could be bad too. I wouldn’t want to be declined in future jobs or events because something like that was posted.

Question B

-Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.

-I need to not hide everything, pretty much make my life not so private.

-Try to tag myself in community events or groups that I’ve participated in.

-Don’t post things that would get you in trouble or give you a bad reputation for future opportunities and jobs. Share safe things

Question C

-What information did you learn that would pass onto other students? How would you go about telling them.

-I think that it was very surprising how I had 0 traces of anything. I do post on Facebook and Instagram but nothing showed up when I went on Google and looked up my name.
