My Graduation Plan

Healthy Living
This year, I am putting 100% effort into P.E to meet DPA requirements (150 mins/week of moderate to vigorous physical activity).
Next year, I will exercise outside of school to meet DPA requirements.
Other than physical activity, I will also need a concrete plan for eating healthy and my sleeping in order to lead a healthy life after graduation.

Course Credits
I need 80 credits to graduate. A typical course is worth 4 credits.
52 of them must be from required courses.
28_of them must be from electives.
16 of them must be from Grade 12 courses.
At the end of this year, I will have 80 credits.

Community Connections
I need 30_ hours of work/volunteer experience. To show I completed this, I must show proof in the form of paper or email.
I can start accumulating these hours in Grade 10.
My plan to earn work/volunteer hours is through working at Pajos at gates park.
I will also need to complete a reflection that includes short term goals, long term goals, and educational goals. It will be 1000 typed words minimum.

Career and Life
In addition to updating my resume, I will also create carrer and life goals that I have a plan in place after graduation.
When I graduate, my current plan is to take a year off then attend university.
Interview
To prepare for the interview, I can look at the questions ahead of time. They are found on our school website.
My interview will be with a rap teacher.
The 3 people at Riverside who are here to help with this process are:
Colombo
Hyde
Johal

In Grade 12, I will find all the necessary documents AND submit them (insert where to do so).
I will complete Grad Transitions 12 whenever I have English 12. If I have it in 1st semester, I must complete everything except the interview before the end of he semester. In 2nd semester, everything except the interview must be completed before November 17th .

Workplace Safety

To keep myself safe in a work environment I will make sure to wear all safety material as suggested, Be very careful of tasks and ask questions if curious on how to do something and I will focus more on when being trained or told how to keep myself safe.

Two things that I will do to keep others safe at work is to remind the employer when seen confused or unsure on how to do something and to make sure to give the right answers if asked by a less experienced employer, and If I am unsure then I would also get the correct information to make sure I am not putting anyone else n danger.

The story of the 19 year old, Matthew  with the hot grease was the story that got to me because I sort of experience something like that at my last job by burning myself but definitely not as bad. From this workplace accident I have learned to always think twice even when in a rush and to trust your gut feeling. I never want to rush my mind especially at a restaurant where there are many dangerous things that could occur. I have also learned how to say no to unsafe work also because I have my rights as a worker and its good to know that I always do have a choice if I feel unsafe at somewhere that i’m working.
