I enjoyed this Desmos project a lot. When trying to figure out which equations to use, I looked at whichever section of the image I wanted to replicate, had a list of the possible functions in my mind, and determined which is the most similar. I think the biggest challenge was personal responsibility (aka. poor time management/not doing the project soon enough). The math itself was quite fun and I did not have many challenges other than questions about the guidelines. There was one question I asked near the end of the project but it just turned out to be a silly mistake. This reminded me to always look for small errors that can make big differences. A strategy I used was looking for functions that were similar and making one be a function of the other (eg. g(x)=f(x)+1). Although this was a requirement for the project, I found it extremely useful and time-saving, and I think that I would continue to use this strategy if I ever do a Desmos project again. One thing I did not process until the project was that you can transform linear lines horizontally within brackets and do not always have to do it by changing the y-intercept. I know it makes sense and is probably something I should have known by this level, but for some reason it never clicked until this project. I think that was the main “aha” moment for me.
