We’ve spent the week learning about the development of British Columbia. While there were some positive outcomes for First Nations due to this change and development, there are more examples of negative outcomes for this group. We will focus our learning today on the Residential School system. Questions we will consider:
a) where were the schools?
b) why were they developed?
c) what was it like for the students who went there?
d) how did it impact First Nation and subsequent generations?
