2. The 1960s will continue to see heightened tensions and conflict centering around the USA and USSR (democracy/capitalism vs. communism).  Today we will focus on the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War.  Ideas to consider:
   a)  What role does Canada play in each event?
   b)  How much autonomy/independence do we exhibit?
