First things first, I did my calculations in order to find out how many grams of the chemical should go into the volumetric flask with water. 
After the calculations were done I followed the instructions on the board.
1) Mass out my sample
2) Fill my volumetric flask ~ 50% full
3)Dump in my solid slowly
4)Top to line with H2O
5) Swirl to dissolve
And after the swirling, we were left with this:
