This week in Math 10 we started review polynomials. We did this unit already back in grade 9, but only multiplying polynomials by monomials and as always it gets slowly more difficult…

So after reviewing we started with multiplying binomials (2 terms) by binomials. Terms are separated by + or – signs.

Here is an example of what this would look like:

To solve this type of multiplication we used a method called FOILing.

After FOILing you can just combine the like terms (like terms are terms that share the same exponents, and same variables) and then you are done
