This article interested me because sometimes I feel like I am drowning in responsibilities, but I need to step back and look at the bigger picture. This article demonstrates how a positive attitude can impact one’s life and choices. I liked the authors simple but insightful structure of the article. I thought the article was easy to read and understand. I think the article was relatable since the tone made it seem as if a young person was telling the story. Some connections that I made to the article were that the beginning of new things can be hard. Like the start of a new job but with time the job will get easier. I think this is true for everything. If you practice and do a task multiple times you will eventually get better at it. Another connection is that work can be much more enjoyable when you get along with the supervisor. Whenever I work with a supervisor that I get along with my shift seems to go by smoothly. Unlike when I work with a supervisor that I never talk to. Ultimately I think it’s easier to look at the negatives rather than the positives, but one should keep a smile and a positive attitude in order to move forward.
