Math 11 FOM blog Post week#3

This week in math I learned an entirely new concept in “cosine law” which is an interesting a more complicated take on the pythagoras theorem. I learned how to identify which problem will need the cosine law or the sine law. I also figured out that some more complicated problems will offer you shortcuts by making you use both laws to find the answer.  Something I identified that helped me with working “smarter not harder” is that when the problem gives you most of the angles in the interior it will most likely be a sine question, but if most of the sides are given to you then it will most likely be a cosine question. I found this strategy helped me identify what i needed to do much quicker and saved me a lot of time.law-of-cosines-formula-and-picture1-1
