As a British official, I realize there are many alternatives to governing Quebec.  I have chosen the policy of deportation to ensure the colony is properly run. Firstly, deportation is the best of the alternatives because it reduces the chance of French-Canadiens to ever threaten or attack the us. All the other alternatives includes risks. Maintaining the status-quo, Assimilation and Isolation would only allow the French to ally with the Native and still remain a threat to our colony and they can plan to attack without us knowing. Secondly, as an ethnocentric country, maintaining the status-quo and isolation would not be an option either because we need everyone in our country to live like we do because we believe the way we live is best. Maintaining the status-quo and isolation would also be extremely hard to govern which may lead to a massive threat. Lastly, deportation is quick, easy and allows us to populate the land with who and what we want. Once everyone is quickly deported, the farms and homes would remain. This gives homes and jobs for our own people. Therefore deportation is the safest and only option. As I have outlined above, I believe the best policy for governing Quebec is deportation.  This will ensure that the colony will remain under British control and provide wealth for our glorious country.
