As a society, our technological dependancy has hindered us from our own personal growth. It has taken over our community, pushing us into a state of forcefully blind adaptation, consumption and reliance. The general population of modernized societies has grown to rely on the machines being classified as advancements to fulfill simple human tasks, therefore weakening our competencies and human abilities. By weakening our capacities as humans these machines are becoming more prominent in society integrating themselves slowly with the potential to replace our jobs. Societies standards have become much higher, stemming from flawless technology that is providing us with the goals to strive for perfection, which is detrimental to our mental health. According to digital trends 47% percent of american jobs are at risk of being replaced by ai. Artificial intelligence doesn’t require breaks, sick days or vacations – so why not let them take over for us for meticulous performance. Driven by our laziness, it reinforces our dependance on technology. According to NBC news, teens spend on average 6 hours and 40 minutes of their day on their cellphones. That’s wasting an average of 25% of their real life, making sure they are in complete contact with the online world. The world has become so dependant on technology that they are sacrificing their own abilities programming them into an emotionless robot, hoping that with the right coding humans will never have to work a day in their lives. However, at the unfortunate arrival of an unavoidable emergency when the humans of the future will know not how to fix a malfunction, our world will lack the non-artificial intelligence needed to satisfy and maintain the stability of society.
