  1. Amazing job! Your explanations were clear and easy to understand. It’s a great idea to use models to demonstrate the differences between 2 powers for #3 but I see that you have made a mistake with the area and volume model. (it’s the other way around!) It will be great if you could revise your work precisely one more time and correct some of these tiny mistakes for it to be flawless~!

  2. Alyson,
Great job, your post shows a good understanding of exponents. You examples and explanations are easy to understand. There are only a few things that should be corrected:
-in 3) you mixed up the models. 3^2=9 is the area model and 2^3=8 is the volume model
-in 5) the negative needs to be inside the brackets like this (-5)^4
-in 18) the word double means twice as much which means to multiply by 2, so the base of your power should be 2 not 4.

  3. Great job Alyson! It looks like you know a lot about the exponent laws and I loved your charts! Just with your area and volume charts you did it backwards and -(5)^4 would be (-1)(5)(5)(5)(5)=-625 because of where the negative was it had a negative coefficient, but other than that and a few other small mistakes I think you did a really great job!
