This week I have learned about the slope of a line. I was quite interesting but it’s easy at the same time!

Slope formula

Finding other points on the line with the slope given.

Example:

We learned about collinear too. Collinear means three or more points that lie on a same straight line are called collinear points.

There are two methods to find if three points are collinear. One is slope formula method and the other is area of triangle method.

With three points A, B, C, three pairs of points can be formed, they are: AB, BC and AC.

If Slope of AB = slope of BC = slope of AC, then A, B, C are collinear points.
