week 8. Properties of a quadratic function

For equation y=(x+3)^2 -4 determine:

the x and y intercepts

In this cases  you should first put 0 instead of y and x, then solve the equation.

0=(x+3)^2 -4

4=(x+3)^2

2=+-(x+3)

x_1=-1

x_2=-5

So here x intercepts are -5 and -1

y=(0+3)^2 -4 y=5

so y intercepts is 5
