This week in math I got to learn how to solve an equation where the exponent is a fraction. The base of the power is the radicand in the new equation. The denominator in the fraction is the index and the numerator turns into the exponent. The first way I wrote it is very helpful when you are not using a calculator to solve the problem. The second way is typically used for when you are using a calculator.
