Miss Brill Human Behavior

I believe that the story “Miss Brill” shows the reader how humans are affected by one another and give us a look into some behaviors of human nature. I believe the writer used the word “brill” in a very deep way. “Brill” refers to a fish that has no use in a culinary way, or no commercial value. This gives contrast to the story because Miss Brill does have value. This also adds to the depth to Miss Brill’s own self deception, and it is a very “human response’. These feelings she has leads to her need to fantasize, just like us humans do. We as people enjoy things to be the way they want, so if something is not going perfect, us as humans tend to fantasize vividly and often. I think this story gave a good outlook on the issues we have as humans, and how many people deal with them.
