I think that marijuana should be legalised because it would be good for everyone. If marijuana was legalised it would help the economy, this is because instead of it being sold illegally (without tax and etc) it could be sold legally thus benefiting the economy. Legal marijuana is already becoming a booming industry in the US and partially in Canada for medical marijuana. Not only that but another benefit of marijuana legalisation is that it would also reduce overcrowding in prison as less people will be arrested for use of marijuana. Despite these benefits there are still risks to marijuana legalisation that could go against my argument. For example, some studies show marijuana is potentially damaging to the developing brain. Another argument against mine is that it would be extremely difficult to monitor ones usage of marijuana as there is no way to measuring ones level of THC right now.
