Digital Footprint
Q1:
How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities? Give at least two examples.
Digital Footprints are like skunks. When skunks fart they leave a stinky trail/smell that follows them around. You want to be careful on what you are posting online whether it is negative or positive because it will leave a trail, so, if you don’t want that stinky smell following you around don’t post useless stuff such as, drinking, drugs, smoking, etc.…
They are not going to hire you if they see the disgusting things that you are posting. They want a good, clean, smart, and mature person not some drunk, addicted person.
Q2:
First strategy is to not use any social medias at all. Using social medias will keep track of everything you post even deleted ones except snapchat.
Second strategy is to be yourself in social media. Don’t be that person that tries to get attention and brags that they are cool by posting high level stuff such as drugs, smoking, and vaping. Just be yourself that is what most jobs are looking for these days.
Third strategy is that to stay away from the people that you know that are doing inappropriate stuff (smoking, vaping, drugs). It might sound childish but it is true, it is for your safety of your digital footprint and personal life.
Q3:
The new information that I learned is that really really be careful on what you’re posting. Sure, I thought about it once or twice but I never realized how important it really is until today. It doesn’t matter if you are joking that you are “about to take a hit” or “I’m so high” because they’ll take it the wrong way and not hire you.
