I picked Wayne Gretzky because every time someone mentions hockey, they’d have Wayne Gretzky in their mind. Just like how every time someone mentions basketball, they think about Michael Jordan.

This makes me realize that the Canadians really love hockey to make this guy the representative. That also makes it an accurate resource for their love of hockey. If they didn’t like hockey, they wouldn’t have bothered to make this guy famous for being a Canadian hockey player.

 

I picked this video because the first time my family came to Canada, everyone was really kind to us. They would always great us “good morning” or “good afternoon. Also, the reason I picked this video is because it is stereotypical. If you’re Canadian or have been living here for a long time you would instantly know who would win in this experiment. That would also make it an accurate portrayal.

This makes my perspective on Canadians even more amazing because they’re kind, welcoming and they love what they’re doing (being kind/hockey). Which I truly respect.

 

If I told my Filipino friends about Wayne Gretzky they wouldn’t know who he is because they don’t play any hockey. I remember back then when my boy Ezra introduced me to hockey, I was very confused and I started swinging around the stick. I am sure that it would be the same with my Filipino friends because in the Philippines basketball is the main sport. Also, they would not know how kind Canadian is because they’ve never been here before. Just like how I thought that Canada and USA are the same, which is not true because the Canadians are more kind than the Americans.
