1- How might your digital footprint
affect your future opportunities?
Give at least two examples.

• •  My digital footprint could negatively impact my future if there were photos of me being irresponsible such as damaging property. By doing that it shows that you are not trustworthy and that you do not act in a responsible manner. People night not want to hire a person who does such things as it could effect their company and the reputation of their company.
  • If you were to leave negative, rude or inappropriate comments potential bosses or deans may not want a person with sure behavior work at their falsity. Doing that means people will see you are a mean person and stores would not like someone who has a bad way of dealing with costumers because that can make them lose some of their regulars. It would also leave a bad impression.
  • if there were videos or photos of me while being intoxicated, I could be doing things that may not be positive. Future employers could see me only for my actions while while intoxicated, and that is not what I want them to picture me like.

2-Describe at least three strategies
that you can use to keep your
digital footprint appropriate and
safe.

• A few things you can do to keep your digital footprint appropriate is to always double check what you are posting and ask yourself  ‘it would effect my future or how other people see me?”
• You can also make sure to never post mean or hateful comments, as it could hurt others, by putting yourself in their shoes and seeing how they would feeling if you posted that about them.
• Next, you should always remember to be considerate while on social media and ask yourself if what you’re are sharing could effect others in anyway.
• Finally, before you post something keep in mind that people may think of you for what you post sometimes, so your post should reflect on how you want others to view you and even possibly even your values.

3-What information did you learn that you would pass on to other
students? How would you go
about telling them?

• Wherever you decide to post or comment anything ask yourself if this is appropriate and is it something I want people I don’t know too see. Be considerate of what you post so don’t post or comment anything mean that can hurt other peoples feelings. Somethings examples of things you should post are; your achievement such as medals or pictures of places you have been on your break. Your posts will effect how people see you so make sure to keep that in mind next time you post anything.
