I reviewed the app Quizlet for my solution fluency project, view the video that I created using Imovie down below for the answers to the all of the questions and criteria. Read down below for a summary of the video.
To summarize the video:
My problem was that I was having a hard time understanding and memorizing terms and definitions. I wanted an app that made learning fun and efficient and helped me with the memorizing as well as the understating off the chemistry terms and definitions. The app I chose was quizlet, before you say that quizlet can be a very general app and can generally help with anything, I found that there are already made quizlet study sets that have specific science terms, which makes it a science app. Through this app I have learned a whole lot especially when studying for tests. Quizlet has helped me to really grasp an understanding of both chapters we have done in the science 9 class so well that I have been able to memorize all of my vocabulary words and questions that have been on previous worksheets.
Quizlet is a very user friendly app that has many features to help with studying. As well as many different sets to study off of. At the click of a button you have access to 100’s of study sets just by searching up science 9 chemistry. If you cannot find a study set for your class you can simply add your notes into the app. Once you have a study set you can play games like the gravity game and the matching game where you must type the definition before you’re time runs out. There is also a test section where the app creates a test for you to study, and a learn section so that you can review all of you’re terms and definitions.
I was unclear with some of the terms like what type of charge a proton has or what time of charge a neutron has, and the difference between malleable and ductile, however the app refreshed my memory and also had multiple wordings of the same answer, so at the same time as I was memorizing I was also understanding. Some of the definitions even included pictures which can be good for visual learners.
