Confederation Inflation

I represented Prince Edward Island. Many things were very important to us, but I feel the thing we were most concerned about was getting a ferry. Considering we’re an island a ferry would be our main mode of transportation for trade, and going to other colonies. We agreed to pay a percentage of the railway cost, in order for us to get a ferry. The concession we came up with was us paying much more than we needed to for the railway, so that we could get a ferry that everybody could use. I personally was very happy with the outcome of the confederation debates. We got everything in our proposals that we wanted, and things definitely went the way my group and I wanted them to. I wish we could have paid a lesser percentage of the army and navy cost, but in the end that just means we get a good amount of protection.
