Information Fluency

Website Credibility

Some ways to check to say if a website is credible is to see if it has an author and contact information, another way is to establish whether it has a bunch of ads or not. If it has a lot of adds then it is most likely not very reliable. Another way could be to search what the website is amount and see if the information on there matches the one of the website you’re looking at.

EBSCO Database

To access the EBSCO database you go to the main library homepage, and then go to helpful links, next you click the EBSCO link and it will take you there. At the EBSCO data base you can find magazines for free, which can help you with school projects and essays, and they can also just be something you read in your free time.

Session Reflection

Friday’s session was very short so learning was some what minimal, but I did get a general idea of everything. I learned how to check and see if a website is fake or real, and some key points to look out for. I also learned how to connect a computer to the screen for if you’re working in a group. I also learned that the library doesn’t only have books, but instruments and magazines as well.
