Prior to reading this article I was aware that many things are fake on the internet, however, like almost all people, I too am susceptible to being tricked by posts that can look extremely credible despite being completely made up. The article made me kind of upset as I was reading it because the posts, espescially those concerning attacks like the one at Manchester do evoke emotions in people and the people spreading the posts are completely aware of this, using it to their advantage. When you realize that there are people in the world that are really experiencing this trauma and that their concern is very real it makes the fake posts evoking emotion and shares even more “grotesque.” The article also touches on how a lot of these accounts are mysterious and no one does no who really is behind them, similar to the last article.
