Racism was a epidemic in the past, we discriminated against anyone who wasn’t the same race and it was even worse if they were a woman as well. Our opinions were essentially “if they are different they aren’t equal” showing our very egotistical way of thinking

Racism now isn’t quite as bad yet it still exists and is a huge problem when it exceeds certain boundaries. It is often accept to be slightly racist as a joke as long as it is clearly just a joke. We have also slightly lost touch with what Racism really is, calling someone “black” isn’t racist it’s literally just a fact, it’s not offensive to say my eyes are brown it’s jsut a feature of my body. True racism would simply be hating somebody for the fact that they are black or of a different race, and this kind of racism still exists, however we have advanced as a society creating a much more accepting community that is rarely racist to any extreme as we used to be
